Tibet in Focus
Christopher Beard, 2012 | British Film Institute (United Kingdom)
Tibet in Focus, by Christopher Beard (1988, UK) is a reflection of what life in Tibet is really like. Through an interview with a Tibetan exile in India, and harrowing information on Tibetan self-immolations, this film looks at the issues faced by those living in the area, and explores why approximately 3000 people have made the perilous journey though the Himalayas to India in recent years. Produced by the British Film Institute at the start of 2012 in London, as part of a bursary scheme for new documentaries in partnership with Step2TV.
