The factory

Project takes a look at the postindustrial areas in one of the Polish towns called Skarżysko-Kamienna. One big complex of old, ruined factories is now crossed by a road, which is open to residents. While taking a walk there, one can look at the ruins of the former socialistic power. Author pictures how they looked during their days of glory (30-40 years ago) and recreates her imaginations in the form of collages, combining the contemporary factory landscapes with photographs of Chinese workers. This juxtaposition becomes a commentary on the guile of history and a reflection on the modern, european world, which becomes more and more dependent on the cheap Chinese labor.
