Images from our Future
x, 2012 | MODE Istanbul - scouting (Greece)
In the short film Images from our Future, 14-15 years old adolescents are thinking about how their future will be, how they want it to be, how their life will be after ten years. What profession they will choose, where they will live, how they will manage with the economic crisis. Must they leave their country for a better future? Do they want to have a family or not? Will they prefer to be financially safe or will they choose a profession they mostly like? Can they be helpful to the other people? Can they try to change the difficult situation or they are too weak to manage it? Dreams, hopes and cautiousness for the future from a group of students of third Gymnasium of a Music School in Greece. Our project " The Youth Videomuseum Partnership, recording traces of our subjective culture" (www.videomuseums.eu) gives the opportunity to student teams and their teachers to think about their local identity and produce a collective short documentary. The project trains teachers and students in filmmaking under the guidance of professional filmmakers. Produced in 2012 as a part of Videomuseums project in Greece.
