SLF NAG by Dimitris Achlioptas, putting the North Aegean in focus, tackles the issue of food control as an issue of growing importance, not only for consumers but also for producers. The current state of affairs endangers not only public health but also the liberty of the people. Hence, there is an urgent need for innovative and radical means of reaction. In our days where mass media shape reality, documentaries often act as central instruments of constructing the truth and reality. In such a way, documentaries can also be used to inform the public, deconstruct well-established views of reality and, subsequently, challenge propaganda.   Produced in 2012 as a part of the intercultural North Aegean Narratives project facilitated by MODE Istanbul and led by Istanbul Digital Culture and Arts Foundation.   This work is part of Doc Next Network media collection.
