Anahita Rezaei, 2013 | Association of Creative Initiatives ę (Poland)
Anahita Rezaei is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. She uses her home videos shot passionately by her father, an Iranian doctor. In the 80s he and his family moved to Warsaw to go back to Iran after several years, and then, after another dozen years - settle in Poland one more time. In "Motherlands" we follow both worlds with the amateur video camera and the protagonist - the little girl. Years later she will protest against choosing just one motherland. Poland means the taste of potatoes, Iran - that of corn. Each motherland is the most important.
