Torino is still shaped by the legacy of the industrial work which shaped the geography and social structure of the city. The city still has many empty warehouses, derelict forecourts and a transport infrastructure which took residents from the suburbs to the center, rather than across the city. The distinct urban zones arranged outside the centre of the city have distinct characters which find expression in youth culture and music. This is a source of energy for community activists trying to bring new art, culture and greenery to these communities, but they face a city government fearful to license public events after a stampede at a screening of the Champions League final in 2017 left three people dead and injured over 1,500 people.

Visionary Days is led by young people. We are a movement that strives for equity, so that everyone has access to the opportunities to develop and fulfill themselves. We take the floor to say that social justice must be a priority in our country, to influence political choices and to vote only those who share this urgency. 
The Association YEPP Italia was established in 2011 - with the support of the Foundation Compagnia di San Paolo - to promote and disseminate the YEPP methodology in Italy. YEPP Italia’s activities aim at: supporting the empowerment of young people and their role as active citizens; contributing to the cultural research and development in the field of youth policies; promoting the active participation of young people through the training of youth workers and facilitators.
